Coornartha Nature Reserve is situated about 14 km east of Cooma on the Numeralla road. It is eucalyptus woodland which was formerly State Forest. It is a known Koala habitat area, as witnessed on a prior Geehi Club walk.

Our walk is will explore the reserve, which includes moderate slopes and many drainage gullies (dry at the moment). We will start by following the Coornartha Track towards its norther, and will then cross through the reserve to ascend to Coornartha trig station, which should provide good views towards Cooma, and then return directly to our starting point. The walk will be about 10-12 km.

Difficulty: Offtrack through open bushland, moderate distance (10-12km)

Date: Sunday 15th June
