Another midweek walk, two shorter walks in Namadgi NP.
In the morning we will go to the Yankee Hat rock art site, off Naas Rd in Namadgi NP. It is an easy 6.5km (return), 3 hr walk. It is the only known Aboriginal art site in the ACT, which has been in use for at least 800 years.
After lunch we shall climb Mt Boboyan on the Yarrabi track, about 160m vert, to enjoy wonderful views of the Bimberi wilderness from amongst glorious granite tors. This is about 4km return (2hrs).
Distance: About 10.5km
Difficulty: Morning walk easy, with good path. Afternoon walk is also ontrack, but steeper – medium.
