Sentry Box Mountain on the ACT border was the destination for The Geehi Bushwalking Club’s recent walk. The sky was blue with just enough breeze to keep us cool. Twelve members drove into Yaouk Valley and commenced the ascent via the south ridge, a route not commonly used. After crossing

Nunnock Swamp; where forest and history meet. Members of the Geehi Bushwalking Club headed out to Nunnock Swamp for this month’s walk. We enjoyed the eucalyptus of the South East Forests National Park as we drove out. The swamp was a picture with the reeds looking to be in flower
This walk was a trek up to above the tree line, exploring the high ridge to Consett Stephens Pass and Mount Tate and is one of the walks described in The Geehi Bushwalking Club’s book – Snowy Mountains Walks, page 81 in our 8th edition.
It was a sunny day for the Geehi’s first walk of 2021 in an area that looks to have benefited from the recent rain.
Six of us from Geehi Bushwalking Club had a camp out weekend at Oldfield’s Hut. This provided a good base camp for us to visit Mt Morgan and Bimberi Peak.
On Saturday 26th September 2020, a large group of Geehi Club members took part in a walk to explore the Old Mill on the Murrumbidgee River.
The threat of wet weather did not deter 6 of us attending this visit to the coast. There was also the promise of a new bakery to check out if the rain did close in... This short walk exceeded our expectations as there was such variation in all aspects. The
