This walk starts at the picturesque Kianiny Bay and ends at Wallagoot Gap a distance of 9km with an option of extra 3km to Hobart Beach.

It traverses almost half of Bournda National Park.

Expect scenes of coastal bush, and numerous bays and headlands. In the water look out for fur seals, dolphins and little penguins. And overhead, sea eagles and gannets.

There are several swimming opportunities if the water is not too cool for you.

The track crosses from one bay to another so there are some climbs leading to views over the ocean.

 

Grade: 3, medium. This is all on defined tracks, but it can be uneven in places. Binoculars and cameras.

Distance: Approx 9km.

Bring: A backpack with lunch, drinking water and snacks. Stout walking shoes or boots, some spare clothing.

Meeting Place: Cooma North car park at 08:00 am.

 

There may be the option of stay overnight at Tathra and explore other areas on the Sunday. Let us know if you are interested in this.
