This walk is an excuse for an offtrack wander in the Charlotte Pass – Lake Albina – Seamans Hut area of the Main Range. We’ll be looking at various artifacts, hutsites etc relating to European history of the area. Near Foremans Hut site we can surmise where there was a footbridge over the Snowy, then try to identify an old gauging station on the way to the ruins of Kunama Hutte and the associated ski tow up Mt Northcote. Over the ridge we will visit the ruins of Albina Hut, then continue to Rawsons Hut site identifying the old road access to Albina Hut, guessing where the Moraine Pass Shelter was, and then up to Seamans Hut before returning to Charlotte Pass.
Hopefully the flower season will be in full swing.
