Activity: – Mountain Bike Trail Ride

Difficulty: A good level of fitness is required and ability to ride of rough dirt roads and narrow tracks that will have a rise and fall of 200 to 300m

Distance: – 15 to 20 Km

Description: –

We will leave our cars at Brayshaws Hut.

After a short tour of Brayshaws Hut and the Tin Dish school ruins we will mount our bikes and head south, to the NSW/ACT border and the Grassy Creek Fire trail.

As we cycle along we will visit Westerman Homestead and Waterhole before crossing Grassy Creek and climbing over a saddle to Sheep Station creek and Lone Pine Homestead Ruins.

The trail we take us down to the Old Boboyan road and a possible side trip along Sams creek fire trail and Lutons Crutching shed.

Our homeward trip will be along the Old Boboyan road and the Naas creek. Along the way we will visit the Boboyan Homestead ruins before a climb up to Boboyan raod and the cars at Brayshaws Hut.

John will provide a list of required equipment in addition to a mountain bike in goodcondition. Numbers limited to 15 people.

Information – The Settlers Track Brochure on http://www.environment.act.gov.au  will provide some information on the area. We will not be following the Settlers track.
