TIME: Sat 20 th Jan 7:30am, return late afternoon on Sunday
MEETING POINT: Cooma North shops
COST: Share petrol money
DESCRIPTION:
Whilst this trip is often done as a day trip, this time we shall camp overnight in the upper
Pounds Creek area below Mt Twynam, giving plenty of time to absorb the hopeful
profusion of wildflowers. From Guthega to the campsite is only about 5kms, giving time to
explore the area in the afternoon. For those energetic, a trip to the Sentinel would be
possible.

On the second day we will climb Mt Twynam, then continue along to the end of
the Watsons Crag ridge. Although a bit hilly, it is fairly easy off-track walking through
grassland and herbfields. Hopefully the wildflowers will be in full display. There are superb
views to the distant North, West and South to be had. Return to Guthega will follow the
same route taken on the first day.

The Watsons Crag ridgeline is quite exposed, with limited shelter from sun or wind, so
please come prepared
