The threat of wet weather did not deter 6 of us attending this visit to the coast.
There was also the promise of a new bakery to check out if the rain did close in…
This short walk exceeded our expectations as there was such variation in all aspects.
The walk to Haycock Point from the car park alone had us counting kangaroos and whale tails !!!
Every now and then a whole new vista would open up in front of us, be it views of beach sands, rock formations, small coves, or vast ocean panoramas.
The trail wound its way through low shrubs and tall eucalypt forest, finishing up at Barmouth Beach. This was our lunch stop before returning via the same trail.
All in attendance agreed that the trip was well worthwhile, even to the extent of nominating the walk as an annual event.
Thanks to all that came along, a memorable day indeed.
