This walk is to explore some the features north of Cooma, in the Deua National Park.

The trail head is located at the Berlang Camp Ground which is around 700 metres off the Braidwood – Cooma Road on a dirt road. The turnoff is well signposted.

First activity is to Cross the headwaters of the Shoalhaven R, so bring spare shoes and a small towel. Recent reports suggest to also bring “water” shoes for the Marble Arch section also.

Then the track takes us uphill to the Big Hole which is a spectacular 90m deep sink hole.

Later on the track traverses before it drops down to the entrance of Marble Arch.

Return is out the same way.

GEAR: All food and clothing for a full day out, as there are no shops or bakeries on the way. Be prepared for all weather, from warm to cold. Take equipment for river crossing

COST: Share fuel costs, road distance is 100km, 1 1/2 hrs drive each way, as nearly half is gravel road.
