We paddle across Brogo Dam and if there is enough water, we can paddle up the gorge. There are very good reviews on this activity on Trip Advisor with descriptions of the gorge, flora and fauna, and Dave’s Brogo Wilderness Canoes:
Dave provides canoes, paddles, waterproof containers, personal flotation devices (mandatory), maps, and birdlife information.
Participants with their own kayaks or canoes do not need to hire from Brogo Wilderness Canoes but must have the mandatory personal flotation devices.
This activity will depend on the level of water in Brogo Dam. At the moment the water level is about 60% but needs to be almost 100% to travel up the gorge. More information will be available in January 2019.
