This walk is primarily an overnight trip from Dead Horse Gap to Bob’s Ridge and on to Jerusalem Hill and the Chimneys. For those only desiring a day trip it will be possible to do a round trip of about 9 kms, returning along the Cascade fire trail.
From Dead Horse Gap we will follow the Great Divide along to Jerusalem Hill, returning to a suitable camp site.
Day walkers can join us as far as the crossing of the Cascades fire trail, and return along the trail to the cars.
Next day we will head to the Chimneys, returning to Dead Horse Gap via the Thredbo River valley.
DISTANCE: 26 kms over 2 days, 9 km for the one day walk option.

GEAR: Full camping gear for the overnight trip. No huts or facilities en-route. Be prepared for all weather, from hot to very cold. Take care with UV protection.
