Description             

Following a car trip from Cooma, we plan to start from a point adjacent to Sawyers Hut. Walking will start from the horse camp along a fire trail.

Then we will walk up hill to the north-west through some light bush, and then onto more open country on the ridge line. The summit is then to our east 3 km away.

Return by same route with short side trip option to look for Tantangara Hut.

Total distance: approx. 10km.

Sights            Expansive views of high country, brumby sightings likely. Old cattlemans’ huts.

Grade             This is a medium-hard walk mostly off-track.
